With three sons in high school, all of whom will be heading off to college within the next three years, my husband and I are in serious money saving mode. We’ve done a pretty good job of saving up until this point, and each boy has his own college fund, but we’re not naïve enough to think we won’t have a ton of unexpected expenses pop up. This is obviously not an area many people think about, but it can yield a huge cost savings. We started turning our heat down and invested a little in insulation, which helped. The big savings have come from finding a new natural gas provider, though. I had no idea how much money we were wasting on our energy bills every month. I am so glad that my personalized jewelry that I ordered few days ago is finally here! I am very excited because the one that I ordered had names on it. It is for my in-laws, I know Christmas is over but it took me a while to think the best present for my in-laws because it is kind of hard to give them something since they have everything they need and I think this jewelry that I got for them is perfect. I only have one grandfather left and I wanted to give him something that he like this Christmas, last year, I gave him a pair of sunglasses and this time I am thinking of giving him a dozen of cigars since I found a discount cigars. I know Halloween is long gone but I just wanted to share some of our photos while celebrating Halloween. My friends and I decided to have a costume party and this is us wearing our outfit, the red devil one is me and the rest are my Friends. I do not really want to wear a costume but because my friend bought it for us for free so there is nothing I can do but to wear it, it was fun though! the kids are having fun with their goodies and so are we. We are planning to do it again next year and I am looking forward to it!

Meeting New Friends

Last Saturday we attend two Christmas party and it was a blast! I met a lot of new friends at the party, though it was hard to remember them all but I sure does remember their name because of the name plates, if there were no name plates it’s impossible to remember their name at all. I like meeting new people especially those people who is closest to my age. One of my new friends live close to our place and we are already planning to meet this weekend to attend a birthday party somewhere in Pullman and I am very excited because I have never been in that place yet. The attached picture is my very own first cooked turkey. I am very proud of myself to be able to cook a delicious bird, not bad for a first timer. I got a lot of compliment from my friends, they cannot beleived that a first timer can cooked the turkey perfectly:-). Oh well, it takes a lot of research and hard work to be able to cook a perfect 21 lbs of turkey. I a just happy that all the hard work I put in was paid off!

For Everyone's Safety

Owning a pool with too many kids around you is risky because kids like to tease and run and they might end up running in the pool without any adult’s guidance. I haven't post any picture in this blog about the huge trees that we saw during our adventure at Yosemite CA. The attached picture above is one of the huge trees that I saw at the park. There were alot of people at that time that almost no space for parking spot and I can understand why, the place is amazing and a perfect gateway from the city. I wish to go back there again but if not, I am happy to be able to see one of the best God's creation. I have been dreaming to own a canon slr cameras since I’ve seen it on TV. I love how it captures picture. The outcome was just so amazing and you can do a lot of things using their features. My husband promise me to buy me one this Christmas and I am crossing my finger that he will not change his mind after buying me a new handy digital camera three weeks ago. Dealing With My Eye Allergies This Fall

There are only a few times that I hate wearing contacts and one of those is when my eye allergies are really acting up. It's just so terrible. I hate wearing my glasses and it never fails every fall that there are a few weeks when I just can't stand the though of putting my contacts in because I'm constantly rubbing my eyes to get some relief from my allergies.

Well I'm always on the lookout for ways to make allergy season just that much more bearable. I never had any idea about food poisoning until I married my husband. Ironic huh? But it’s true! In the place where I came from, I grew up without any appliances and that includes refrigerator, we don’t even have electricity! So basically, all the food we cooked, we either ate them all or put the left over in the table with a cover of course. First Rain!

I was happy waking up this morning hearing the raindrops! It's been months since it rains here in our place and I am so happy to see the rain again. The ground needs rain as well as the tress, grass and every single living things on eartht lol! Food For Today!

My three year old boy requested this morning if I can make him spaghetti. I am not really in the mood to cook but because he only asked me to cook once in a while, I cook it anyway. I do not have ground beef so I decided to use the left over corn beef that I cooked the other day, it worked out pretty good because in the country where I came from, we normally use canned seasoned corn beef for spaghetti sauce instead of ground beef. I was gonna use ground turkey but I do not want to spend another hours thawing it out. Anyway, my son end up eating a whole bowl of spaghetti and I am very happy seeing him eating that much because he is such a picky eater like his dad. I still have some left over in the fridge about two serving so anyone who wants a taste of my delicious spaghetti is welcome!

Fresh Noodles For lunch!

I was not sure what to make today but I end up making a delicious noodles stirred fry with vegetables. I was gonna add some meat but I don't have enough time to thaw the meat, so I decided to just cook it purely vegetables. It turn out really good and it is what I am going to eat the whole day I guess. I cooked more than enough for 3 servings. I am full right now after eating my food, I definitely need some excercise!

Overwhelming Results!

We already ordered the tire chains few days ago; it’s a preparation for winter. Living here in Texas has been a lot harder than I ever thought it would be, but it’s not because of the state itself. Super Windy

It's super windy outside, you can hear the whooshing sound of the wind inside the house. The tress were swinging like crazy. This has been going on since this morning and pretty soon rain will follow. I hate it when the weather is like this. Hunting Season Is Here Once Again!

It’s hunting season here in our town again and I am very excited because my family loves to hunt and eat venison meat. Last year, we had a lot of fun in our family hunting and were able to freeze bunch of venison meat. Jason already renew our license for this year hunting and we are planning to go in the woods to hunt this weekend and hopefully the weather gets better because right now, it’s non-stop raining. These two boys will be friends forever. The one who wore brown shirt is my son and the other one is my close friend's son. They get along very well and acts likes brothers. I remember when they are younger, they used to fight for one toy but it's amazing how they changed. They don't fight anymore and shared toys to each other. My son is younger but he acts like he is older. I am happy to met a friend who had a son close to my son's age.

Visiting Grandma Was Fun!

Two weeks ago, we went to my in-laws place for a week visit. We rally had fun spending time with them especially that they own a huge swimming pool at their backyard. My son spent most his day swimming in the pool with his grandma and grandpa. I was worried at first seeing my son with his grandparents in the pool since his grandpa had a knee problem and could not swim that fast. If it was not because of the pool pool disability access lifts, I would not let my son to swim with his grandparents because I do not want my in-laws to work too hard watching or running after him. We had so much fun visiting their place and we are looking forward to visit them again on my husband’s birthday which is two months away from now.

Autumn Tale is a korean drama that I have been watching for two days now. The drama was aired years ago but I just found it now online and I really love watching it, the story revolves within family which truly attracts both young and old audiences. I cannot hold my tears watching the first episode and I know I am going to love it until the end of the drama. I am looking forward to watch the while episode before Friday.

Since high school, I always fond of wearing hip hop clothes, they are comfortable and easy to wear. Some of my friends think that I am a tomboy wearing the same style everyday. Last week, I decided to head over to Joya for some Thai food. Joya is by far my favorite restaurant in the area. They have great dishes, huge portions, very reasonable prices, and an upbeat atmosphere.

Before heading out, I set my home security alarm from Home Security System so I could enjoy my evening out without any worries. Then I walked to Joya, which is only about 10 blocks away. I figured that if I walked instead of driving, I would not feel quite as guilty about all the calories I was about to consume.

When I got there, the restaurant was pretty busy. Surprisingly, though, I didn't have too wait long. It was only about 5 minutes before a table opened up. The hostess seated me in a cozy little corner near the back of the restaurant. The location was perfect for watching the chefs, who cook the food right out in the open.

I ordered my usual€”spicy noodles with shrimp€”and sipped on a nice glass of scotch while I waited. Before I knew it, the food had arrived, fresh off the skillet and nicely arranged on the plate. The entré was perfect, allowing me to savor every bite of the feast in front of me. The best part, though, was the bill: Only $14! That was the moment I remembered why I love Joya so much

Full Color Printing

With my new full color printing, it works so nice for me, because I can print pictures of my friend and my family, with vivid color the picture is so life light. It saves me form having go to the store which cost me a lot of money for the gas since we lived an hour away from the store. Now, I don’t need to buy an USB or cd’s to save the entire picture, I can just print them all and then put in an album. Thanks to my husband who bought it for me. My Husband's Dream

My husband’s dream is to buy a house with creek in the property and it happens that my close friend is going to sell their place soon. They have creek within their property which is only a few steps away from their log house and uses water pumps for their daily use. My husband is really excited because he is looking for a place like what my friend has. He likes privacy, huge property and away from the city. He already told my friend that he is interested to buy the place but his plan is to build his own house when he got the property. I am also excited with his plan and I will support whatever his plan is.

My Oath Taking

I finally took my Naturalization oath taking last Friday and I am proud to say that I am now part of American citizen. I gave up my previous citizenship for my two boys, which is my husband and my son. I don't have any regrets gaving up citizenship. Anyway, I want to thank my friends for joining me last Friday, it means a lot to me.

I Love Flowers

The flowers that I planted a month ago are ready to be transferred in a pot. The weather outside is still cold but I am thinking of putting the plant stands in the porch where they can be protected at night. I just hope they will not die like last year. We are supposed to get warm temperature here but I do not know what is going on and it still snowed occasionally. Yesterday we have blizzard and I am worried for my plants. I plan to plant some veggies too but I don’t think it will work out good in this freezing temperature. In fact, it’s raining outside! Anyway, if the rain will stop in two hours, I might start taking my flowers out and I am crossing my fingers that they will survive.

Getting So BIG

I cannot beleive my son will soon turn 3! We are going to throw him a party this coming Saturday in the fairground. We rented the carousel building for his birthday party and it was 3 years ago since we celebrated his first birthday in the same place. My son is not a baby anymore, he is getting so big and I am not ready yet. But no matter what happens, he is still my baby. I love you my dear son and I pray that you will grow up into a young fine man like your daddy.

The other day, the family went to the big city and shop in the mall. We had so much spending time together and loving the warm weather. I am very excited to finally wear clothes that is easy and very comfortable. I love spring and summer! We went to the party yesterday to attend the first birthday party of my friend's son. The kids had fun in the party and brought homw lots of candy. We also enjoyed the foods that my friend prepared. Family Time

It's movie time here in out house! Jason rented 6 movies and mostly are animated movies. He picked the movie that is appropriate for for our two year old boy. We already watched the 3 movies and three more to go. This is the reason why I love weekend, spending time with family, now worries or whatsoever. I am shocked with our phone bill, the monthly service charge is higher as well as the minute. I am planning to switch my plan and cut-off the international call. We are spending too much just for the phone bill and we seriously need to save up for our upcoming trip. I Passed!

I thank God for all the blessings that He had given to my family. I passed my Naturlaization test and interview yesterday and my husband got a promotion. The party is already lined up for this month. A birthday part for my son, my oath taking and my husband's promotion. I am very proud to my husband for being able to reach is goal. All the hard work was paid finally paid off.

Thyroid Imbalance

My sister in-law had Thyroid imbalance that causes her to gained weight. She often gets sick and it weakens her body. She is currently taking some medication for her health problem but it seems like it does not help at all. She still weights the same, her body is weak all the time and depress. She is planning to see a specialist before the end of this month and I hope that when the time comes that she has to see the doctor, she can get positive results. I feel sorry for her because she is not use the way she looks now, it affects her self-esteem. Whenever there is a party, she decides to stay at home and not socialize people because she is uncomfortable with her body. I keep telling her that she looks fine and that outside appearance is not that important.

For My Husband's Nephew

Jason’s nephew birthday is only a month away and we are planning to take trip to attend his birthday celebration. He is a big fan of baseball game and I am thinking of buying him a pair of personalized baseball bats as our birthday present. I am not sure if he will like it but my husband likes the idea. I remember 4 years ago, he cried for like 2 hours after his mom turning off the TV. He has been watching the baseball game for the whole day and his mom got mad. Even at school, he is an active baseball player and I must say he is very good at it; in fact, he is quite popular in his school. My son is very excited to see him, they used to play baseball together and haven't seen each for almost a year now.

Fish For Dinner

I am thinking to cook a salmon fish today for our dinner, we have been eating chicken for the past few days and I am sick of it. Fish would be a good alternative for meat. I am not a big fan of salmon fish but I don't have a choice but to eat it. I preferred ocean fresh fish, it's what I ate everyday back home but it is hard to find it here in our place, we our 6 hours away from the ocean so everything has to be frozen. Oh well, few months from now we'll be visiting my family and then I can have all the fish I want!

Hunting Trip!

We have so many plans for this year and one of that is family hunting trip. We bought few supplies a month ago but we also need to buy the barska Camo binoculars too. It is the most important thing to have before heading to the woods. It’s impossible to hunt without it, animals are tricky nowadays. Our camouflage suit and boots are all ready too! This is going to be a fun trip for the whole family, Jason will be taking his parents camper, which makes the adventure more fun. The First Time I Trained Him

This is the first time where I tried to potty train my son. He is only 8 months old in that picture, this is when I thought it's easy to potty train a child. I gave up after few days of letting him sit there because all he does is crying. I started potty train him again 2 months ago( he is 2 years old now) and I must say, it is a huge challenge because this time, he will not only cry but reason out why he does not like to sit in the toilet. It took me 3 weeks before he finally decide to go potty in the toilet, within the three weeks, it was not easy at all, it's like a battle and I am almost gave up. Being a mother is indeed a challenge! it's one of the reason why I wanted to wait for years before having another one.

Beef Stew For Dinner

The kids are going back to school in a few days, and it's a flurry of activity here as I help them to prepare. With two boys getting ready to apply for college and my daughter fretting over her SAT scores, I am up to my ears in ornaments and decorations to pack, forms to fill out, and projects to oversee. Physics has been hard for the twins!

All three of the kids have taken to staying up almost all night and sleeping until noon. I can only imagine what waking them for school is going to be like for the first few mornings. However, I can always bribe them with the French vanilla coffee that my sister gave me for Christmas.

While I love them to death, I can't wait to load the car, set the home security alarm (adt home alarm deals ), drive them to school, and come home to a blissfully quiet, still home. I'm considering spending the day reading a good book curled up by a roaring fire, but I know myself. I'll end up cleaning the bathrooms or dragging the sticky tree out to the trash and getting covered in sap. No matter what I decide to do, I've already arranged to have our carpets professionally steamed on Tuesday of next week. Serving red wine for New Years wasn't the brightest idea I've ever come up with!

Weekend Skiing

We went skiing last weekend with my friends and it was a blast! Our kids enjoyed their time sliding their ski's and playing in the snow. For 3 hours of skiing, my son and my friend's son seems both not satisfied and wanted to play more. We wanted to stay longer but the ski resorts closes in few minutes, everybody are getting ready to leave. We will definitely do it again!

Everbody had a blast playing the Wii dance game, it was my very first time dancing in the video, I was in the middle. Right after that party, I decided to buy a game for myself, it is a very good way to burn calories and sweat your body everyday. my son likes the game so much and he wanted to play the game everyday, you too should try it, I am pretty sure you will have a lot of fun!

Living a healthier life is one of my top priorities as a mother and as a wife. I always make sure my family is eating right and eating healthy foods. To be healthy is also the best way of protecting your family from getting sick especially on winter since flu and colds are common. You can tell if the person is healthy or not just by her/his physical attributes. For me, it is very important to stay healthy to maintain your outward and inside appearance. For years of eating fruits and vegetables, I can see huge benefits in my body especially to my skin.
However, I am also aware that when you get older, your skin tends to lose as well and that is the main reason why I am considering of taking a vitamin c serum that will help me stop from aging. Just Dance Game

My son and I are having a lot of fun with our Just Dance Wii game. It played the game atleast twice a day. It's a great time of family bonding and burning calories. I bought the one that is more for grown ups music and I am planning to buy another game this coming weekend for kids. We are gonna buy both the game last weekend but decided not to and see how we like it before buying another one. I would say, the money we spent for the game is well spent!

Back On Track!

I am back on my diet again; I gained few pounds after abusing myself to good yet fatty foods. I attended too many parties last year that makes it more harder to control myself from eating desserts and greasy foods. I know I should have been more careful and watch my diet carefully but when someone is inviting you to eat at their place, not eating their foods is kind of rude, right? And when you start eating and the food is so yummy to resist, you’ll just have to keep eating and before you know it, your plate is empty. I definitely need to start taking my diet pills again otherwise; dieting alone is next to impossible! I applaud my husband for not gaining any weight at all. I admired his motivation and that is what I need to follow.

Crape Myrtle Tree

I cannot wait to get warm again. We are half way through working on our yard and planned to get it all done started this spring. I wanted to plant crape myrtle tree in our front yard to make some shed and then tulips flower in both sides of our house. Jason’s wants to plant several fruit tress too but I am more excited with the crape myrtle tree because they produce pretty flowers with a stunning colors selection. I wanted to order the tree now but I don't think they are going to survive here in our place at this moment. I might have to wait for another two months before ordering the tree. It is my dream to have a nice and comfortable yard and I am so happy to get a chance to fulfill that simple dream of mine. I am so excited to put back my outdoor furniture outside, my hammocks and read my favorite books. How about you? Are you excited to get over this freezing temperature yet?

Be Extra Careful

This picture was taken while we are on our way home from the big city. The car that you've seen in this picture is one of the 3 cars that sled off the road. It snowed like crazy that day. I could hardly see the road because of the snow. We are driving our truck but we are still very careful. It ticks me off when I can see drivers that aren't careful enough to drive. It times like this, I preferred to stay at home but we don't have a choice that day because we have a doctor appointment. Are you a safe driver?

Sportsman ATV Parts

The Polaris Sportsman ATV Parts that Jason ordered arrived yesterday and he is going to start fixing our four wheels this weekend. I am very excited until he can get it done because Alex likes to be outside all the time and for him to be able to ride that again with his dad would bring so much joy to him. It’s a great time to spend time together with his dad. It has been in our shop for almost two years already, Jason was not able to fix it because of his very limited time, he has been so busy lately at work and too lazy to fix it, but now that he got no other choice to do since it’s winter, he promised to fix it. Thanks to my husband who is very understanding a good provider!

Network Cable

We recently purchased a new set of desktop but I need to go to the store tomorrow and buy a new network cable first. The one that we had is still working fine but we needed more cable to install our new desktop in our bedroom. Jason said to just order it online but I wanted to check the prices first before ordering it online. The one that I found online is free shipping and it looks affordable but it still wise to check prices to see if I can save more. Saving every penny is our top priority right now, we are planning to take a trip to my hometown and we cannot do it without saving enough money first.

My Way Of Killing Time

Singing and playing guitar is one of my ways killing the time and restoring myself from being bored. I am not a good singer and cannot play a guitar well but it is what I love to do. It helps me relax and when I started plucking, it is hard for me to stop. My father in-law left his two guitars and I am very happy for that because I can play anytime. The only thing I need to learn is to learn how to tune the guitars, I have tuning but I am still not good using it. Oh well, I'll just have to be careful and not mess up my guitars, otherwise, I will have to ask someone to tune it.
