Keeping Up With Teenagers

Contributed by Milford Woods

Some days I don’t know what to do to make my teenagers happy. They are generally good kids, but can be so demanding! The youngest is 13 years old, and she wants me to drive her all over the place. She wants to meet her friends at the movies, and go to her friends’ houses all the time. Then there is my son who is 16 years old. He makes it hard for me to keep his sister happy since he wants to borrow my car all the time. I told him I would get him a car if he gets a a part-time job after school, but he hasn’t acted on it yet. I decided I would just get Direct.tv and ask them to stay home more often, because keeping up with them is getting more and more difficult for me by the day. Now they are only allowed to go out on Friday and Saturday nights. The other nights they have to stay home and have family time. They aren’t too happy with me, but I didn’t know what else to do
