Plantation Shutters

I am thinking of putting plantation shutters in our living room glass window. It’s been extremely cold inside the house since October and our electricity bill is rising as well. I like the idea of just having a plain glass window since we have a stunning lake view at the back of our house but I cannot handle the cold. At least the shutters window helps preserve the warmth or the inside temperature. Since the paint of the house is white, I might get the mahogany color and then match it with a simple yet nice curtain. I am happy that our house is not that big and only has few windows otherwise; we cannot buy what we want and have to wait for another year to save enough.
